Recipe : "Meat with Salted Egg Yolk Sauce"



This is one of my favourite foods, cause it contains salted egg hahaha I love salted egg!!. I used 2 egg yolks, however if you don't like salty you can use 1 egg yolk. 1 is also sufficient^^. I used pork loin for this dish (non halal), but you can change to prawn / chicken / any other meat. Serve with warm steamed rice (y)..
Ingredients :
  • 250gr pork loin
  • 2 salted egg yolks
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 stem curry leave, discard stem
  • 1tbsp butter
  • 1/3 tsp salt
  • 1/3 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp msg (optional)
  • A dash of pepper
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 or 2 red chilli, cut
  • 1 stem chives, cut
How to cook :
  1. Slice meat, marinade the meat for 20-30minutes.
  2. Melt the butter on the pan, add minced garlic until it is fragrant. Add curry leave then saute for 3mins. Add the meat and cook for approximately 5mins,then lower the heat.
  3. In small bowl, smash egg yolks using spoon or fork, add water, then mix well.
  4. Pour the egg yolk sauce all over the meat. Add chilli and chives, stir. Wait until the sauce is dry.
  5. Place in a serving platter. Serve immediately, :) yeay it's done ^_^

Recipe : "Sauteed Pork Tenderloin with Mushroom Sauce"

"Sauteed Pork Tenderloin with Mushroom Sauce"

Ingredients :
For the Pork
  •  250gr of pork tenderloin, trimmed
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp of pepper
  • 1 tsp of parsley (Or u can use rosemary), chopped
  • Butter / Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp of "NgoHiang" spice
For the Mushroom Sauce
  • 100gr of mushroom (I used button mushroom)
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  •  20gr of butter
  • 1 heaped tbsp of flour
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper
Cooking Steps :
  1. Cut pork tenderloin into 10 slices (1inch thick), then sprinkle pork on all sides with 1/4 tsp salt and pepper, add 1 tsp of Ngohiang.
  2. Heat 1tbsp butter/oil in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic, saute until the garlic is fragrant (abt 30secs), then add the spiced pork tenderloins. Cook, turning one or twice until the pork is well browned. Transfer pork to serving platter.
  3. Melt the butter in the saucepan, add the mushrooms and saute until the mushrooms are soft. Remove the pan from the heat and set aside.
  4. Add the flour and pour in the milk, mix the ingredients together and stir continuously.Return the pan into medium heat and cook the sauce, stirring constantly until it thickens.
  5. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 5minutes.
  6. Pour the mushroom sauce all over the pork and it's done! :D
